Kids Code Mississippi Participates in 2017 Mississippi Science Festival

At the Mississippi Science Festival, hundreds of Mississippians, young and old alike, gathered to see science and technology demonstrations and exhibits at the four museums of the LeFleur Museum District. Kids Code Mississippi was a the event with three Raspberry Pi stations – one running Scratch, another Sonic Py (a Ruby-based application for writing music with code), and a final station using Python to interact with the Minecraft Raspberry Pi edition.

Other exhibitors included C Spire, the Mississippi State Extension Service’s 4-H robotics program, Hinds Community College Aviation Department, Raytheon, NASA John C. Stennis Space Center, Entergy, McNeely Plastics, and the Mississippi STEM Institute.
